DINING

The Commonwealth Club prides itself on the high standard of cuisine and service it provides to members and their guests. The emphasis is on quality food served by attentive and friendly staff.

The Main Dining Room

 offers a full a la carte service with an impressive wine list. It is open for breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday and for dinner Monday to Saturday.

Below is a sample of our current menu.

Entrees include: Sauté King Prawns served with a Creamy Garlic and Herb Sauce on Steamed Basmati Rice or a Blue Cheese and Caramelised Onion Tart topped with a Poached Egg, Asparagus and Prosciutto.

Main Courses include: Roasted Breast of Duck on an Amish Onion Cake with Orange Glaze to a Pan-fried fillet of Baby Barramundi on Char Grilled Asparagus with Citrus Glaze and Hollandaise or Roast Chilli, Coconut & Tamarind Marinated Lamb Rump with Char Grilled Zucchini, Tomato Chutney & Coriander Yoghurt.

Desserts include: Coconut and Mango Ice Cream Terrine with Almond Wafers and Raspberry Coulis to the Black Forest Bombe Alaska with Shaved Chocolate.

The a la carte menu reflects a combination of traditional and modern dishes complemented by a balanced wine selection. A daily Club Menu offers another dining alternative.

The Cariappa Room

 offers a light Casual Lunch menu Monday to Friday which can also be enjoyed out on the Terrace. The Cariappa Room is also the perfect place to enjoy a quiet drink at the end of the day.
